She conducted research in materials science studying nano-composite, layer-by-layer thin films on foam and cotton fabric for flame retardants under Prof. Jamie Grunlan. She moved to Prof. Dan Singleton’s lab to complete a senior thesis on heavy-atom tunneling in a wide array of organic reactions.
