Molly graduated with a BS in Chemistry and minor in Math from Texas A&M University in 2016. She conducted research in materials science studying nano-composite, layer-by-layer thin films on foam and cotton fabric for flame retardants under Prof. Jamie Grunlan. She moved to Prof. Dan Singleton’s lab to complete a senior thesis on heavy-atom tunneling in a wide array of organic reactions. She is an incoming graduate student in the Friend lab, interested in studying catalysis on metal surfaces from both an experimental and theoretical point of view.
