Tobias Egle received his Masters in Chemical Engineering at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He spent his thesis year at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the San Francisco Bay Area where he synthesized nanoporous copper catalysts and investigated their multiscale morphology.

Currently, Tobias is a PhD student in Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Science. In the Friend Group, he investigates selective oxidation reactions on bimetallic model catalysts to gain new fundamental insights into novel reaction pathways for environmentally benign processes.
